Our Story
On January 28, 1986, Tommy Hundley bought an existing Trophy Shop and named it “The Trophy Center”. The original shop was located at 1011 West Main Street. Tommy started out doing trophies, plaques, and plastic signs. As the business began to grow, so did the need for more employees and space. After several years at the original location, The Trophy Center moved next door to 1015 West Main Street. The space was much needed as Tommy added a laser engraver and a vinyl plotter to his inventory. Soon the business had grown to where more space was needed to accommodate the expansion of the business. The business then moved to 123 Wooding Avenue.
Along with the increased size, Tommy added a wide format digital printer, embroidery machines, and the staff had grown to eight employees. After a decline in health, Tommy’s son Eddie and his wife Kim took over the business. Again the business had grown too large for the Wooding Avenue location and on September 1, 2013, The Trophy and Sign Center relocated to its present location on 199 Sandy Court. At that point Eddie and Kim expanded the business even further. They added another digital printer, laser engraver, flatbed printer, screen printing equipment, and a bucket truck. The staff has increased to fourteen people and a shop dog, “Bama”.
